Reed Buntings

A few shots from a recent session with Reed Buntings. These males are looking really smart at this time of year in their breeding plumage. I noticed that they have unusual feet, almost like fingers, this must be for them to grip the reed stems more easily.

This is another great study Steve. The detail of your photography is revealing of the tiny details hidden from the naked eye. Beautiful!

Hi Stephen I found your blog via your website. Your photography is amazing your images are SO Sharp. How do you get such great images. I have done some Bird photography myself and use a Nikon D200 with a Sigma 150-500mm lens. I have had mixed results and get frustrated when i look at my images on my computer can you give me any tips to help me improve, Kev
