Every spring we get a number of migrating Ring Ouzels turning up here on the Wirral. They are usually seen briefly and are not a very easy subject to photograph, certainly not as tame as it's cousin, the Blackbird. My previous attempts have only really produced record shots, so I was very pleased to have finally been able to spend some time with an obliging male. A few birdwatchers had come to view the bird and when they left I settled down and patiently waited. I was rewarded with some frame filling shots as it busily fed on worms. A great result.
Stunning collection Steve, my favourite being the fourth-to-last. Great ground level work.

ReplyDeleteThey're a lovely bird to see, and not easy to photograph.
A great set Steve and I am not using the graet word loosely. Patience well rewarded.
