Displaying Goldeneye

I have tried for many years to get photographs of Goldeneye displaying, without much luck. Last week that changed with a number of them close enough for some good shots.
Their technique is very physical, throwing their heads back and kicking up their legs at the same time. They also get into some very strange postures as you can see from the Images, from craning their necks to lying very low in the water. It was nice to eventually get some of these long overdue shots.

Well done Steve for capturing these shots of often seen behaviour. For me often seen from about 2 miles away it seems. never close enough to photograph as you say.
